A publisher is a traffic partner who sends you calls or leads. A source is one stream of traffic from that publisher, for example a particular site or ad account. Payouts are set per source, per campaign.
Adding a publisher
- Open Publishers and click New publisher.
- Fill in Company, Contact name, Contact email and Contact phone.
- Set Rate cap (calls/min): the most pings per minute this publisher may send. Extra pings are refused until the minute passes.
- Set Status: pending, active or paused. Only active publishers get traffic.
- Add a Postback URL if the publisher wants a callback, and any Notes, then click Save.
The publisher gets an API token, shown once. Copy it straight away because it cannot be shown again. If it is lost or leaked, click Rotate token on their row, then send them the new one.
Adding sources
On a publisher's row, open its sources. Type a name under New source (for example ABC-Auto) and click Add source. Each source can be renamed with Rename and switched off with Pause, then back on with Activate. A paused source gets no traffic.
Attaching a source to a campaign
Sources do nothing until you attach them to a campaign.
- Open the campaign and find the Sources section.
- Click Attach source.
- Pick the Publisher and Source.
- Choose a Payout model: - fixed: you pay a set amount per call (calls) or per sold lead (leads), entered in cents. - revshare: you pay a percentage of what the buyer pays.
- For calls, set the Billable threshold: - Override buyer duration (fixed seconds) uses your own number of seconds. - Use buyer duration follows what the buyer says. - Adjust from buyer duration adds the seconds you enter to the buyer's number.
- Keep Active ticked and click Save.
Use Edit to change terms and Detach to remove the source from the campaign.
The margin guard
A bid is only used if the buyer's price leaves a margin after the publisher payout. If your payout is too high for the bids you get, calls show a "margin blocked" outcome in Dial and bid insights.
Publisher logins
Publishers can have logins for their whole team to see their campaigns, tracking numbers, ping URL, calls and statements. Click Invite (or Team) on their row. See Users and invites.
Next, give the publisher their integration details: Ping URLs and the spec sheet.
