An RTB target is a buyer endpoint that CallsFlow Plus asks for a live bid on every call. The buyer answers with a price, whether they will take the call, and a number to dial.
Creating an RTB target
- Open Targets and click New target.
- Identity: pick the Buyer, give the target a Name, set Type to RTB, and set Status. Buyer and type cannot be changed once the target exists.
- Integration: enter the buyer's Ping URL, choose the Method, and set Timeout (ms). Add a Request body, Content type and Auth headers (JSON) if the buyer needs them. If your platform offers an Integration preset for this buyer's system, pick it to fill in the form.
- Click Test ping to send a real ping and see the buyer's answer next to the mapping.
- Routing: set the limits. See Ring timeout, caps and failover.
- Click Save.
Reading the buyer's answer
Under Response mapping, tell the platform where each value is in the buyer's reply:
- Bid: the price offered.
- Number to dial: the phone number or SIP address.
- Accept the bid when: your accept rule. Build conditions on any field of the reply, for example "status equals available".- Billable threshold: how many seconds the call must last to count as billable.
- Ping ID: the buyer's own reference, if they send one.
For each of bid, number and threshold you can choose Static instead of reading it from the reply, then fill in Price (cents), Phone (E.164) or Billable threshold (seconds). This suits a buyer whose ping only says whether an agent is free.
If a value you read from the reply is missing, the bid shows as $0 with no destination and the target is not used. Fix the mapping instead of relying on a static fallback.
Billing trigger
Choose when revenue is booked:
- Duration: when the call passes the billable threshold.
- Answered: when the buyer answers.
- Confirmed: only when the buyer reports a sale. Completed calls show $0 revenue until then. This is expected.
Margin check
A bid is only used if the price leaves a margin after the publisher payout. See Publishers and sources.
After saving, add the target to a campaign's ping tree. See Routing and the ping tree.
