Publishers can send you leads in two ways: a two-step ping and post, or a single direct post. Both end at your lead buyers.
Ping and post
- Ping: the publisher sends the lead's basics, such as zip and answers to the campaign's questions, without contact details. CallsFlow Plus pings every ready lead buyer on the campaign at once.
- The best accepted price wins. Lower tier first, then the highest price, then weight, then the fastest reply.
- The publisher gets back a bid ID and the payout they would earn.
- Post: within the post window shown in the spec sheet (60 seconds unless the buyer sets otherwise), the publisher sends the full lead with the bid ID. The lead goes to the winning buyer and is settled.
A bid that expires, is unknown, or is posted twice is refused.
Direct post
If the campaign supports it, the publisher sends the full lead in one request with no ping. The platform tries lead buyers in order, a waterfall: tier by tier, highest weight first. A buyer that does not accept passes the lead to the next one. The whole waterfall stops after about 15 seconds. The first buyer to accept takes the lead.
Duplicates
Before any buyer is contacted, the lead's phone number is checked against the campaign's dupe window. With Dupe action set to block, a duplicate is rejected. See Duplicates and daily caps.
Why a ping gets no bid
The publisher sees a plain no-bid. Common reasons are no lead buyers marked ready, every buyer declining or timing out, a price that leaves no margin after the payout, the daily cap, a paused publisher or source, and no credit. See Why a buyer didn't get pinged.
Credit
A new ping or direct post is refused when your balance is zero or below. A post for a bid you already issued still goes through.
The Leads page
Open Leads to see how it is going. Pick a date range at the top. Stat cards show Pings, Bids, Sold, Revenue, Payout and Margin, with tables by lead buyer and by source. Two alerts help you spot problems:
- Posts awaiting settlement: posts that reached a buyer but are not settled yet.
- Negative-margin sales: sold leads where the buyer's final price was below the publisher payout.
Use the Leads tab to search by bid ID, name, phone, email or zip, and filter by status. Click a lead to see what was received and what was sent to the buyer. The Ping log tab shows each request, its outcome and reason, and the buyer calls behind it.
